About the Project

Nimble Science is a Calgary-based health technology company developing the SIMBA Capsule, an ingestible device designed to collect samples from the small intestine.

Their companion app, SIMBA GI Health, gives patients and researchers access to data collected from the gut, enabling personalized health insights and improving therapeutic outcomes.

What was the problem?

Nimble Science had built their first MVP internally but needed a fresh set of eyes to take it to the next level. The app required a more intuitive design, stronger synchronization with the cloud, and improved reliability for clinical use.

They turned to No Bull Code to refine their platform, streamline workflows, and prepare for a successful trial rollout.

Our Approach

Redesign and User Experience
We overhauled the app’s interface from scratch to create a smoother, more intuitive experience for clinical trial participants. Patients could now easily submit reports and navigate their tasks without confusion or errors.

System Improvements
Our team resolved critical bugs in the backend and admin dashboard, optimized data handling, and improved overall performance. Cloud synchronization was added to keep data consistent across all devices and users.

Clinical and Compliance Readiness
We enhanced the app’s reporting structure, data visualization, and workflows to better support clinical operations. HIPAA and PIPEDA compliance were implemented to ensure secure handling of sensitive patient data.

Delivery and Documentation
We provided detailed technical documentation, compliance reports, and project overviews, maintaining transparent communication and reliable delivery from start to finish.
